This retro pin-up style oil painting depicts a curly-haired redhead dressed as Alice in Wonderland , standing before a curved red mirror. She wears a light blue dress with puffed sleeves , a white apron , and stockings. The mirror , set in a massive curved frame , reflects the woman—showing the same girl gazing at her own reflection in a surreal mirror (evoking the style of *Through the Looking-Glass*). However , the composition employs an artistic device involving a metamorphosis of the fabric: In the real world (left): The girl wears a classic Alice outfit made of traditional matte fabric and cotton—featuring a soft light-blue dress , a cloth apron , and opaque white stockings. In the Looking-Glass world (right): Her reflection’s outfit transforms into a glossy latex (PVC) version—characterized by a deep , wet-look sheen , a latex bodice , and glossy stockings and gloves. Her pose , head turn , and facial expression are perfectly synchronized , underscoring the concept: this is her alternative "Looking-Glass" incarnation. The background follows a Wonderland theme , featuring a black-and-white checkered floor , giant chess pieces (Spades and Hearts) , and a chandelier; a large chess piece bearing the Spade symbol is visible on the left , while a chandelier and a red heart appear in the background. ,
