The disaster of Jingkang, also known as the shame of Jingkang, the change of Jingkang, the chaos of Jingkang, and the disaster of Jingkang, refers to the period from 1125 to 1127 A.D. when the Jurchen tribe from the north captured Bianliang, the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty (now Kaifeng City, Henan Province), and took them captive. The major wars and disasters of Emperor Song Qinzong, Supreme Emperor Song Huizong, Zhao Song royal family, concubines, officials and more than 100,000 capital civilians.
